Melksham Library Book Group, November 2011 This book, although still a mystery/murder story, could not have been more of a contrast from the previous book. Enigma is the gripping tale of life at Bletchley towards the end of the second world war. Code-cracker Tom Jericho is an unusual central character but it is the descriptions of day-to-day life both in Bletchley Park and in the outside world that make the story so unusual. The technical details about the codes was interesting and relatively easy to understand . The book is apparently a very accurate portrayal of the historical events which changed the course of the war. A ripping yarn! Average score 8/10
