Joining the library is free and is available to those who live, work or study in Plymouth.

You can join at your local library or online using the form below. 

After you've applied, you can request a digital library card instead of a physical card. Speak to library staff or email us to find out more.

With your Plymouth library membership you can:

• Download eBooks and eAudiobooks
• Download free eMagazines, eComics and digital newspapers
• Reserve and renew items online with the Library app or on our website
• Borrow and return books at any Plymouth Library
• Use the computers and Wi-Fi that is available in all Plymouth libraries for free
• Use our online resources including dictionaries, encyclopedias, streaming music, newspapers, homework help and more
