You can sign in and view your library account on this website by clicking the 'Sign in' tab which is found in the top right of the webpage's header. If you cannot see the sign in tab, you may need to scroll to the top of the webpage.

The details you will need to sign in are your library card number and your four digit PIN.

Your card number should begin with FFF and end in 12345.

Go to our Join the library page to join the library. Once you've done this, you'll need to visit the library to collect a library card or you can email library@plymouth.gov.uk and request a digital library card. It's the same membership, but without the plastic card!

All library charges that are on your account can be paid by debit/credit card in any Plymouth library by speaking to staff. We also accept payment by cash.

Yes, all Plymouth libraries have printing and photocopying facilities available. There is a charge for this. You can scan documents free of charge by logging onto a computer at the library that is attached to a desktop scanner.

Every library member has a PIN set up on their borrower account. If you have forgotten your PIN, you can reset it. Have your library card number ready. Click here to reset your PIN. An email will then be sent to the email address you have set up on your borrower account that includes a link to reset your PIN.

There is a large range of activities for both children and adults in Plymouth Libraries. Find out more on our activity and events calendar.

Children are the responsibility of parents and carers.

Our libraries do not require customers to be quiet. They are spaces for people to come together, meet-up, learn and read. However, some areas within our libraries are quieter spaces and these are often for studying purposes and we do ask that other members be respectful to others.

We have some simple guidance on how to get started with apps & websites such as Libby & BorrowBox on our website.

You can find all library opening times on the 'Our Libraries' page.
