Summer Reading Challenge

Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge is back in libraries for 2021!

The Summer Reading Challenge is back in libraries for 2021!

Aimed at ages 4 to 11 year olds, children are encouraged to read six (or more) books of their choice during the summer holidays.

The theme this summer is Wild World Heroes and the challenge has teamed up with WWF. Set in Wilderville, the characters encounter a set of conundrums that they must face along the way.
The characters are designed by illustrator Heath McKenzie.

Signing up

This year children can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge in any of our libraries! Normally, you'd come back after reading two, four, and six books...However, you can now come back after you've read all six and collect your medal!

Children can join this year's challenge from Thursday 1 July 2021 at any Plymouth library.

They can also sign up online to record their progress digitally alongside their library pack challenge.
